What is the point of having an 8mm thick barbecue grill?

The Kokko is equipped with 8mm thick stainless steel cooking grids. This high thickness allows easy maintenance because each stainless steel wire is wide and can be cleaned with a scrubbing sponge or brush without difficulty.
